Nurturing Words to Life

Let’s help an acorn

become an oak.

Are you ready?

My Story

Hi, I’m Heather. My friends know this phrase well: “Have you thought about writing that down?” I see stories everywhere, and I love helping people move from idea to finished product.

As an English instructor in the community college system, I meet one-on-one with every student, and in those meetings, I believe something magical happens.

The magical thing is, with conversation and questions and time, the words change. They become more precise, more solid, and more true.

I’m offering more than just editing in my classroom and in freelance work with clients. I’m offering connection and support to people regardless of where they may be in the writing process.

Do you want feedback on your plot structure, pacing, audience alignment, or character development? This kind of editing might be for you especially if you’re in an earlier stage.

03

Line Editing

Is the story there, but the sentences are lackluster? Line editing focuses on tone, rhythm, voice and other concerns. If polishing sentences and paragraphs is your concern, line editing might be for you.
